![]() ![]() So, the MOBA thing: shield generator -> turrets -> power core. ![]() So here comes Dawn of War 3, and it's basically like a mixture of 1 and 2, but not quite in the way that makes objective sense. Plus I enjoyed the story for DOW2 quite a bit, especially what was offered in Chaos Rising. While I was disappointed in the lack of basebuilding in DOW2, I enjoyed the greater focus on tactics and squad micromanagement, as well as bringing it up to the Company of Heroes standard, another great game I'd enjoyed. Up to this point I'd have said that Dark Crusade is the series' high point, which isn't exactly an insult to the rest of the series, since DC is, imo, one of the best PC games ever made. Since then I've become a big 40k fan (lorewise, I don't play tabletop) and of course picked up each DOW game as it came out. I considered myself an RTS fan in general so of course I picked it up. I've been playing DOW since the beta for DOW1, knowing little about the grim darkness of the far future - I just liked the idea of a strategy game becoming a computer RTS, figured there was some pedigree in that, a chance it could turn out good. ![]()
